Bornholm where wonders take place
Bornholm is a culturally significant Danish island located in the middle of the Baltic Sea between Sweden, Poland, Germany and Denmark. Once a year the Wonderfestiwall invites to a music festival in a picturesque landscape.
Rønne is the largest city in Bornholm. Rønne Harbour is an active hub for ferries, cargo vessels, fishing and sailing boats. The Harbour is the gateway to the world, and the boat line services operate to destinations in Denmark, Sweden, Poland and Germany.

On behalf of a Nordic Culture network, I was invited to document events of the popular event Wonderfestiwall. The festival arranges package tours from the Danish capital Copenhagen to Allinge in Bornholm. The trip started with a bus ride to Ystad in the South of Sweden from where everybody took a ferry to the Danish island. Straight after arrival in Rønne festivalgoers were flocking towards the festival buses.
All buses were fully packed, and some people had to stand the last 20 minutes to get to the festival area.
Arrival at the bus stop not far from the medieval ruins of Hammershus. People were collecting their camping gear.
Just behind trees, the countryside of Bornholm appeared grandiose, and across the fields, a lot of sheep packs looked at us.
