Maailma kylässä (World Village Festival) is among the biggest festivals in Northern Europe. Cultures from all over the world meet in the centre of Helsinki in Finland. The festival offers new perspectives on global issues and multiculturalism, as well as music, circus, dance, theatre, art and a mix of food from around the world. The festival gathers each year 60-80.000 visitors during the last weekend of May. The admission to the event and all arrangements is free of charge. The festival is organised by the NGO platform Kepa.
I was asked to cover the atmosphere of this unique festival. These event photos were supported by The Nordic Culture Fund.
