ihana, the Nordic journal showcasing life throughout the Nordics and Scandinavia. ihana is a medium portraying sociocultural aspects and reflects on new and established trends in architecture, arts, design, music, events and the like.
This collection of works belongs to a long-term research project depicting parts of the Nordic cultural fabric that are manufactured on a daily basis. Also, the nature and environment in the Northern countries are endorsed. But what is Nordic Culture? The journal aims to inspire and visually give viewers a better understanding of the Nordic and Scandinavian culture and experiences narrated.

ihana, the Nordic journal is created by Rafael Rybczynski.
Rafael is educated in Multimedia Design and Communication. He has a BA in Digital Concept Development from the Copenhagen School of Design and Technology. Moreover, Rafael has a M.Sc. degree in Interaction Design from Malmö University in Sweden. Prior to his studies, he has worked many years as talent scout, PR & marketing manager, and producer of popular artists in the recorded music industry, as well as Business Developer in the digital media landscape. Besides his commercial engagements, he has created music installations, graphics for print, website design, and worked with documentary film and photography. He speaks English, Danish, German, Swedish, and Polish fluently.
